16

That was my hCG today. A whopping 16.

It's funny. I was hoping for a number less than 18. That would mean that it was continuing to drop at the same rate. It was less than 18. I should be thrilled. I'm not. I'm annoyed. That means at LEAST another week at this rate, probably closer to a week and a half, before I finally reach less than 5.

So...since that's all I have for what's going on with me and my reproductive B.S. We'll move on to our weekend.

Friday night we had a super casual dinner out with T's sister. She bought us dinner for dog sitting a few weeks ago. Super sweet.

Saturday, we drove down to Cincinnati to see the AVP Cincinnati Open. I'll preface this with my husband has played volleyball since high school. If it's sunny outside and he's not working or spoiling me, he's at the volleyball courts. So we decided to go enjoy seeing the top players (and olympians) play only a few hours from home. So Kerri Walsh...the girl has won 3 gold medals. Had 3 kids. One was just  6 months ago, and here she is...playing volleyball...in the sand...in this:

Really??? One...I've had no children and my ass does NOT look like that. Two...I would never dive around in sand wearing something so tiny around my lady bits. That is nothing but unpleasantness. Hey, if you can rock it...go for it.

Sunday, my bestie and I decided to switch up our normal brunch and shopping with a little morning kayaking. Okay, so we maybe did a little more floating than kayaking, but it was a great relaxing morning followed by lunch on the water. Then we still went shopping!

Then it was date night!!! Hubby snuck in this photo when walking to the restaurant.

Monday we had tickets to see Mumford & Sons. How do you know when you're officially over the hill? You decide that the couch sounds much better than being surrounded by 25,000 people and opt to just "not go" and we couldn't have been happier home, snuggled up on the couch, with breakfast for dinner and catching up on Dexter. Perfect ending to our long weekend.

  2. You look gorgeous!!! So jealous of Kerri Walsh's tush, but that's another story lol. I know the waiting sucks for your hcg, but I'm glad it's at least moving in the right direction. Your weekend sounds so perfect :) I don't know what it is about getting older, but the couch does seen more inviting now then it used to. At first I was like, oh man, Mumford! Then I thought about it and had to laugh, I probably would've done the exact same thing :) Glad you had such a great weekend!

  3. Well, I'm glad it keeps dropping, even though the extra week really wasn't necessary. My ass, don't remind me...
Glad you had a good weekend, complete with some couch time!

  6. I thought that pic of you was a professional model at first and then I see it's just a snap from hubby of you! Gorgeous girl! You could take Kerry Walsh in the beauty department any day. I have to hate on her a little anyway...c'mon finding out you are pregnant unexpectedly after you've been diving head on into sand for weeks and just won the Olympic gold medal!?! Who does that? I'll just be over here following my "no exercise" instructions. Gah!

It sounds like you only have 1 week to go with the hCG. I bet it will def be at zero next week! You deserve a medal for patience.

  8. Lets just call it what it is... she's in a thong, or close enough it doesn't matter. : )

The hCG is certainly taking it's sweet time, but it IS falling, and steadily, so that is all awesome news! Hang in there!

  9. That pesky hcg. You'd think that after removing (using 2 different methods) the products of conception, it would just make itself completely scarce. But no. Arghhhh!
I'm putting my money on 4 next time. But I'll be happy with 3, 2, 1, or 0.

I have also had a child 6 months ago, and I assure you, my ass does not look like that. Just keepin' it real.

And wow, what a beautiful photo of beautiful you.

  10. Sounds like a great weekend...despite the annoying (to say the least) hcg. You look perfectly adorable in that photo. Love it.

And...I don't understand how that woman has no cellulite! Like...at all! Argh!

  11. Hi! I saw your post on fertility community about the premature rise in progesterone. Here's a study about premature progesterone rise and some solutions. I hope something in here can help you moving forward.

  12. Ugh about your levels not coming down quicker.
I hate that woman VB player for her fertileness and skinniness (just kidding...well kinda).
Kayaking sounds so fun! I might have to try that soon.
That shot your hubby took is gorgeous. You totally look like a model!

  14. Thinking of you and that BIG FAT ZERO that's comin down the pipe (tomorrow maybe?). I know it's bittersweet, but it is closure, and I am excited for you to finally have that so you can both move on. Just wanted you to know you're in my thoughts and prayers Love.

    1. Awe!! Thank you!!! I typically do get my hCG checked Monday or Tuesday, but I think I'm going to wait till Thursday this week. I want to make sure it's less than 5. I know this morning it was still a very faint line on the FRER, so I'm guessing it's somewhere between 8-10 right now. It's obviously not in any hurry!! xo

    2. I see. Well, that is a smart idea to test at home then. I don't blame you for not wanting to be stuck until that line goes away more and you know it's worth the blood test. Praying for ya this week!
