Good start, Monday. CD 7.

I had such a great weekend. Visiting with family and friends is sometimes the best remedy for what ails ya. My sister left yesterday morning and the hubs and I spent the entire day lounging around. This is not typical for us, and we both agreed that it was much needed after several weeks constantly on the go. Even after all that lounging, I still fell asleep on the couch at 8 pm! I slept till 7 am (minus the wake up, it's time to go upstairs around 10:30).

This morning I even woke up in time to do the whole wash hair routine and homemade oatmeal with fruit before heading out for my first acupuncture session for this cycle. Oddly enough, both visits we've discovered that my back, is not a fan. I have a very tight back and it seems to twitch and spasm every time he tries to insert the needles. So, for now, we've decided that we'll stick with my stomach area and my legs! Next session is CD 14, next Monday.

I have to say I feel pretty great. Not sure if it was the acupuncture of the combination of all of the above, but I'm on a high note today. I also took my final Clomid pill this morning, so hopefully things are busy working down there exactly as they did last month and maybe, this month, we'll be lucky!

I take my BBT temp and my oral reading for Ovacue every morning. I log my numbers and then I ignore them. I haven't bothered to look at the chart at all. I'm going to do my best to continue this trend as I start the vaginal readings tonight and just relax. After this many cycles, I know when I should ovulate. I'll start my OPK's around CD 10 and I'm just going to go with it. We'll probably start BD'ing every other day around CD 11 or 12.

That's where we are as of today!! Hoping for a miracle to happen!!

  1. Hi Suzanne! Just wanted to check in and see how things are going with you guys. Summer is definitely here! It's been sweltering all week. Finally got a reprieve today -- only in the 60s when I got up this morning. Dying to open the windows -- we've had the air conditioning on for a week straight. Feels like August instead of June!

This cycle for me continues to be weird. The O bleeding (or at least what I assume was O bleeding at this point) was gone Tuesday morning, so 24 hours start to finish. Tuesday was CD15, and as expected I got my first high on my monitor (same as last cycle). I thought I'd get my +OPK that afternoon, but didn't. Wednesday didn't give me a +, either. Still testing high on the fertility monitor as of this morning (CD17), but I have yet to see a peak. And I haven't seen any decent CM. So I don't know. Now I'm trying not to worry about the hormonal imbalance thing, which I think is also characterized by break-through bleeding. And if O does happen in the next few days, I worry that my LP won't be long enough. Crud... so much for feeling good this cycle, especially with my due date looming ahead of me. :-(

I hope things are going well for you! I'm sure you're getting excited for your vacation.

  2. Hi there. It's so hot here. It's been in the 90's every day for a week. I think this weekend it's supposed to be in the 80's which should feel awesome considering. Not only that but we've had ZERO rain. I'm having to water my plants daily. However, the good news is the high heat is helping my tomatoes! (I have a condo, so a few plants on my balcony is as close as I can get to a garden at the moment)

That's a bummer that this cycle is throwing you so many curve balls. I've had cycles like that and it just makes it really hard to relax and not stress over it all. I certainly hope that it's not a hormonal imbalance kind of thing. Hopefully the progesterone test will help give the doctors a few answers on what steps need to be taken. You are planning on going for that 7 DPO, right?

The due date is heavy on my mind as well...it's hard not to be.

So my cycle...it's going I guess. I'm on CD 10 today, I started OPK's yesterday just in case the Clomid makes me ovulate early. Negative so far. Last night I did have some cramps around my ovaries, which seemed odd this early on. Of course, I went straight to the internet and found out since Clomid stimulates the ovaries, it probably just means things are working down there. Lets hope.

Count down to vacay...12 days!! Any good book recommends? I need to start getting a few for the long car ride and lazy beach days!
